Olve Maudal

The new C++ standard (C++0x) is expected to be introduced in 2009 and it includes several additions to the core language and lots of extensions to the C++ standard library.

In the first meetup for Oslo C++ User Group (www.ocppug.org) we will focus on C++0x. Olve Maudal will do a quick and dirty introduction to C++0x. Einar Otto Stangvik will discuss threading and concurrency support in C++0x. Terje Slettebø will dig into "Concepts" - a mechanism for codifying the interface that a template parameter must meet. There will be plenty of time for discussions between the presentations as the actual presentations are just 10 to 20 minutes long.

The formal part of the meetup is finished around 2100, but we hope many will stay behind for a beer or two so that we can get to know each other.
