Summary Design and develop computer programs that generate reports that monitor trading activity. Department is Financial Automation ? Business Systems ? Surveillance. Reports to Director of Development - Surveillance Systems Responsibilities *Gather requirements from users to design software. *Participate in all phases of applications development. *Create test scripts and conduct tests to make sure programs function properly. *Develop and monitor project plans so that deadlines are met. Education/Experience *Ten (10) years of experience programming embedded ANSI 92 based SQL *Ten (10) years of experience programming ?C?/?C++? in a Unix environment *Five (5) years of experience developing project plans, detailed requirements, and program definitions. *Degree in Computer Science or related *Experience with software lifecycle design methodology is a plus *Java, PERL, CGI, and HTML are plusses *Data and Database administration is a plus *Data Warehousing is a plus *Java, Apache web browser or Websphere is a plus *Cognos products is a plus *Experience in Financial Sector is a plus *Excellent writing and communication skills
